Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Propr manages holiday homes and aparthotels. For this website and for our work in the UAE, the controller of your personal data is Propr, 2307 Al Ameri Tower, Barsha Heights, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Propr is part of a group that also operates in South Africa and Portugal.

We handle personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and the rules that apply to holiday home operators in Dubai.

2. What we collect

What you tell us. When you ask for an estimate or contact us: your name, email address and phone number, and details of your property or building, such as its area, type, bedrooms, number of units and anything else you choose to add.
Newsletter. Your email address, if you sign up.
Owners. What we need to manage your property under our agreement: identity documents, title deed and permit details, bank details for payouts, and records of bookings, costs and statements.
Guests. Booking details and the identity documents that holiday home rules require us to collect and register before check-in.
How you use this website. With your consent, analytics cookies record which pages are visited and how the site is used. See section 10.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

To answer your enquiry and prepare an estimate or proposal, because you asked us to.
To manage your property or your stay, because we have an agreement with you.
To register guests, keep records and report to the authorities, because the law requires it.
To send you our newsletter, because you consented. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To understand how the website is used, because you consented to analytics cookies.
To keep our properties, people and systems safe and to prevent fraud, where the law allows.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising on other websites.

4. Who we share it with

Other Propr companies, which run our shared systems and sales team.
Service providers who work on our behalf, such as website hosting, email delivery, our customer records system and analytics. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
Booking platforms, when a guest books a property we manage.
Government authorities and regulators, where the law requires it.
Professional advisers, such as lawyers and auditors, where needed.

5. Transfers outside the UAE

Our group and some of our service providers are based outside the UAE, including in South Africa, the European Union and the United States. When your data leaves the UAE, we transfer it only as the PDPL allows, for example to countries with adequate protection or under contracts that require the recipient to protect it to the same standard.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an agreement: up to two years after we last hear from you.
Owner and guest records: for as long as our agreement runs, and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep them.
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Analytics data: up to 14 months.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPL you can ask us to:

tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
delete your data, where we no longer need to keep it;
restrict or stop using your data for a particular purpose;
send your data to you or to another organisation in a usable format; and
stop relying on your consent, where we rely on it. This does not affect what we did before.

Email us to use any of these rights. We may ask you to prove who you are first, and we will reply within the time the law allows.

8. How we protect it

We use technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data, including access controls, encryption in transit, secure hosting and staff training. Only people who need your data for their work can see it.

9. Children

This website is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through it. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

10. Our cookie policy

What cookies are. A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device.

The cookies we use. This site uses cookies it needs to work, and, only if you accept them, Google Analytics cookies that tell us how people use the site. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your choice.The cookie banner asks before any analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Third parties. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the UAE Data Office.

12. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes here. This policy was last updated in October 2026.
